About Artists of Cleveland

Our mission

Artists of Cleveland helps people discover Cleveland-area artists fast. We host simple profile pages and act like a turnstile that sends visitors to each artist’s website and social profiles. It’s a living registry of who’s making what in our city, so buyers, curators, and fans can connect without getting lost in the noise.

What we do

  • Artist profiles: A clean page with bio, portfolio highlights, contact info, and links out to your site and socials.
  • Discovery: Browse by name, medium, neighborhood, or tags to find the right artist for a project or collection.
  • Direct connections: No middleman. When you click, you go straight to the artist.
  • Community features (roadmapping): Calls for art, studio spotlights, and event listings.

Who it’s for

  • Artists who want a lightweight hub that points people to their work.
  • Curators, agencies, and buyers who need a reliable way to find and vet local talent.
  • Fans who love Cleveland’s scene and want new artists to follow.

A short history

  • Early 2000s–2016: Founded by Larry Kasperek and Al Fuchs to give artists a place to post site links and portfolios.
  • June 2016: Domain transferred to Patrick Dew (Cleveland artist and web developer). Full rebuild.
  • January 2021: Second rebuild with faster search and modern layouts.
  • 2025: Rebuilt again with profiles, better linking, and a clearer registry model.

How profiles work

  1. Claim or create your profile.
  2. Add links: website, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, shop, and email.
  3. Upload a few works and your bio.
  4. Get found via search, tags, and curated features.

Why it matters

The web’s loud. Cleveland’s art is local, diverse, and easy to miss online. Artists of Cleveland keeps things simple so the work itself gets seen, and people land exactly where you want them: on your site or your social feed.
