My art is mostly instinctive. I was blessed with a talent, and learning to use it has become my way of life. I'm retired (Carpenters LOCAL 212) and have the time to volunteer, and that is mostly how I learn. Working with other artists, helping them teach to kids art, is the most fulfilling learning experience that there is.

My art is about exploring the depths of consciousness and the limitlessness of visualization. The whole process of becoming an artist is really a journey through the worlds within us: it's an awakening to new ways of perception and to alwasys be in the moment becomes the only way to put it on paper, the only way to live.
My monoprints come from my moods and from dealing with stuff I can't put into words. Some are attempts to understand my dreams. Some are just the result of printing mindlessly one rainy Sunday at Zygote Press.
To be involved in the creative process, to make anything, really, puts us in touch with the Creator, personally. Since retiring from the trades (Carpenter's Local 212), I've become a volunteer art teacher's aide. I get to help kids discover that they can create. This is the most important and rewarding thing I've ever done, and I'm thankful for the opportunity. All children should learn about making dreams come true.
