Larry Kasperek

"Pinhole photography, for me, is a return to basics. As the world becomes more digitally inclined, I find myself looking backward, when things seemed simpler. And you can't get more simple than a pinhole camera – a light-tight box with a hole and some film or photo paper. I use a commercially made camera as well as several cameras I have constructed or converted."

Personal
I gew up in a small town in Western New York, but have since lived in nine different states. I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, majoring in photojournalism. That led to a 25-year career in the newspaper business, first as a staff photographer and then later as a photo editor and director of photography. I am now a co-owner of a commercial photography company as well as teach photography at a local arts center.
