Kelly Finley
"I teach art at Lake Catholic High School. In between my love for teaching, I try to find time for my own art. My first passion is painting with pastels. By using vibrant colors, I find everyday objects will take on new effects. These colors are so intertwined in the painting that most people do not notice them. I work with Winsor-Newton pastels, as well as Prismacolor Nupastels on colored pastel paper. I like to work with both landscapes and animals. I use animals that I am familiar with (some of which are my own) and places I have been to before. Many people also find these places familiar and like to discuss them. It is enjoyment to share my art with others."
