My work as an artist and designer provides me the opportunity to confront nature with all its beauty and wreckage.  When not painting, I design landscapes, which teaches me to appreciate and honor the natural world with its subtleties and power. I present to the viewer my vision of outdoor subjects in a stylized, semi-abstract, or abstract way.  I use heightened color and repetition to create rhythms and I look to create stability and movement, the dualities of nature.
